I am a breeder of Exhibition Budgies from the North East of England.

It all started when I was a young lad and my Dad Alan Levington kept budgies in our garden. I used to get the job of cleaning them out for him! 

He stopped keeping them in the 1990's. I never gave budgies another thought until my dad died in 2007, I decided to get a small aviary in the garden to keep a few different kinds of birds such as canaries and zebra finches. Then my mam suggested I went to visit an old friend of my dads who kept budgies. I did and was bitten by the bug......... I was surprised how much information I had remembered from when I was a lad. I then joined the Northern Budgerigar Society and met loads of enthusiastic budgie breeders. The rest is history!
